The UK Research Reserve (UKRR) has received key support from the research and library community which will help to ensure its fully representative, collaborative and co-ordinated development.

Professor Drummond Bone, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Liverpool, has agreed to chair the Advisory Board of the project. The Advisory Board will lead consultation, discussion and advocacy with the research and library community to guide the development of the UKRR prototype during Phase 1 of the project. The membership of the Advisory Board will include representatives of key stakeholders, including the research community, RIN, SCONUL, CURL, the British Library and the funding councils.

SCONUL has agreed to act as the body which will co-ordinate the retention of an appropriate number of copies of print journals across the sector. As the
