One year on from its launch, join us to explore how the UK Print Book Collection (UK PBC) is transforming the way libraries safeguard access to scarce print monographs. This national collaboration, supported by RLUK, SCONUL, Jisc and the British Library, coordinates retention activity across the sector to ensure that at least seven libraries hold a copy of each print book. Powered by the National Bibliographic Knowledgebase (NBK), it gives libraries the confidence to make informed space and collections management decisions without risking long-term access.
This session will showcase case studies from member libraries, giving you the opportunity to hear how the UK PBC is working in practice and how it can benefit both your institution and the wider library community. We’ll share the latest programme updates and participation figures, as well as provide an opportunity to put your questions to member libraries and the UK PBC team. This is a great chance to learn how your library can join the initiative and how participation can strengthen both local and national collections.
