Applications are invited for the post of Head of Research Services in the Department of Research & Enterprise.
We have an outstanding opportunity for you to make a genuine contribution to achieving Royal Holloway’s research ambitions. As a member of a newly formed Senior Management Team within the Department, you will play a key role in supporting the University’s Research Strategy by ensuring the delivery of a professional and proactive research support service. You will provide strong leadership and management to the Research Services team, overseeing pre-award research grant administration,business led leadership for research systems, oversight of submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF), research ethics and compliance. As an experienced professional, you will act as a champion for research management and administration excellence and work in close partnership with professional departments and academics across Royal Holloway to ensure a high quality delivery of service.
You will have a first degree and postgraduate level qualification, as well as extensive experience in a research related environment. You will have management experience in a professional service environment with demonstrable experience of delivering a client-focused culture alongside efficient business processes. You will also have the confidence and credibility to advise, negotiate with, and support senior leaders in the delivery of strategy.
