Research Libraries UK is very pleased to partner with the Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers, the Booksellers Association, the British Library, Midas PR, The Publishers Association and University College London for the second Academic Book Week.
The flagship event to mark the week, and the first event to be announced, will be the launch of the final report of the Academic Book of The Future project. The event will be hosted at the British Library on 25 January 2017.
Academic Book Week (#AcBookWeek) – 23-28 January 2017 – is calling on academics, booksellers, publishers, libraries, institutions and researchers to host events as part of the week-long celebration. From debates, workshops and seminars to exhibitions, competitions, writing sprints and more, the events will bring together people from all sides of the debate to celebrate the academic book and consider its future.
Have an event you would like to organise for #AcBookWeek? If so please email acbookweek@midaspr.co.uk. Events will be listed and promoted on the #AcBookWeek website, and will be included in PR outreach in the run up to and during the week itself.
Please submit ideas by Monday 7th November so that awareness of the event can be maximised by including it in the November event announcement press release.
