Research Libraries UK (RLUK) has signed the Green Libraries Manifesto, joining an increasing number of organisations within the UK and beyond in setting our common values across the sector.
Our members are increasingly understanding the environmental impact of their physical spaces and digital collections and are seeking to minimise that impact. RLUK is committed to helping our members address these issues, but also to look at our own activity as a member organisation and seek ways to reduce our environmental impact. We have included sustainability within the cross-cutting theme of Infrastructure in our strategy, Transforming the Library.
We look forward to working collaboratively with our members as well as the other signatories of the Manifesto to progress the Green Libraries agenda.
