
Virtual Reading Rooms (VRRs) and Virtual Teaching Spaces (VTSs) provide human-mediated remote digital access to collections which do not depend on digitisation. These are emerging and bespoke services which provide another means of user-responsive access to collection materials.
The case studies complement an international survey on the development and delivery of Virtual Reading Room (VRRs) and Virtual Teaching Services (VTSs) conducted in May and June 2021 by RLUK’s Special Collections and Heritage Network (SCHN).
